    We want to ensure that you are informed before you make an order and perfectly happy after you have received it!

How much do I pay and when?

Once you have decided to place an order, we will require a deposit of 30%, with the balance of the payment payable prior to actual shipment.  We will send you images of the completed product before it is dispatched.

How long will my order take?

  • Your order will take 7-8 weeks to produce.
  • Art Deco models take 8-10 weeks.
  • Designer models take 8-10 weeks.
  • If your order is of a particular urgent nature we will endeavour to provide you with a quicker delivery time.

How long does shipment take?

  • Shipping is within 7-10 days of completion of your order.

How long does international shipment take?

  • Shipments to Europe take approximately 2 weeks.
  • Shipments outside Europe take from 4 to 8 weeks depending on destination.

When are my warranties activated?

Both the Structural guarantee and Accidental Damage warranties come into effect once delivery has been made.  You will receive a policy document as confirmation.

How is my order delivered?

Our UK deliveries are handled by specialist furniture carriers and are all “two-man white-glove” deliveries.

The service includes:

  • Call to book a delivery in advance
  • 3 hour time window for delivery
  • Delivery to the room of your choice
  • Unwrap and check
  • Light assembly
  • Removal of packaging from premises

How much is Delivery?

Standard Charges

  • 1 item in order – £75
  • 2 items in order  – £100 (an increase of £25)
  • 3 items  in order – £125 (an increase of £25)
  • 4 items in order – £150 (an increase of £25)
  • Standard corner suites are classed as 3 items for delivery - other configurations may incur an additional charge.

Out of Area charges: An additional 25% apply to the following post codes:

  • England - CT, EX, PL, TR, TQ
  • Wales - LL
  • Scotland - AB, DD, PH, FK, G80+, KY, PA20+, SA20+

Please note that all the above charges are subsidised by us as current carrier rates for large items of furniture have become very costly.

Your Delivery

We use specialist furniture carriers as a matter of policy and endeavor to ensure your furniture arrives in pristine condition. All items are protected in transit to minimise possible damage occurring. However, to cover all eventualities, it is normal practice in the industry to ask customers to sign a disclaimer form before the delivery team enters a property. You also have the option of the team leaving your furniture outside your premises.

Things to be aware of when checking your new furniture:

  1. Make sure that the wrapping around the new furniture is fully sealed and please make a note on the Proof of Delivery (POD) form if there is any damage to the packaging.
  2. Whilst the packaging is being removed: Please keep an eye out that no damage is done to the furniture and that any cutting of the wrapping is done carefully.
  3. Once the furniture is placed in situ make sure that you are happy with the location and with the installation of the furniture (including any light assembly that is necessary). The delivery team will not be able to come back once they have left the premises.
  4. We do not want you to feel rushed when checking your new purchase. Take your time and inspect every part of your furniture, as this is the time to note any damage. If you do notice something unusual please call the Newman & Bright office on 0161 667 9560 and we will advise you if we are available. Otherwise, please make sure that any problems are noted on the delivery note, as retrospective claims for damage CANNOT be accepted.
  5. If you are uncertain about anything at all during your delivery, please try calling us while the delivery team is still on the premises.

Please retain your POD as all warranties begin from the date of delivery.

    I recently purchased a 3-seater and 2-seater Chesterfield sofa in Antique Brown leather from Newman & Bright, and I couldn’t be more delighted with both the service and the quality of the furniture.
    From the start, the customer service was excellent – friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful as I finalised my order. Delivery was prompt and professionally handled, with the sofas arriving in perfect condition.
    As for the sofas themselves – they are absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship is second to none: beautifully deep buttoned, upholstered in top-quality leather, and clearly built to last. The Antique Brown leather has a rich, classic tone that brings real warmth and character to the room. They’re comfortable, elegant, and perfectly complement the rest of my décor, especially with the exposed brick fireplace and herringbone flooring.

    I hunted for my ideal art deco furniture for a while when I saw the sofa on the website Sam was very helpful allowing me to – via zoom – look at them against an adult for size. This resulted in me choosing two 3 seater (2 cushion) sofas and two armchairs . Choosing the fabric brought it even more to life for me going for a contrast piping for the sofas as well as for the chairs tying them all together. I am delighted with my purchases and so are my visitors. Don’t get me wrong these are big pieces of furniture to navigate into your home. Thankfully I have two sets of double doors allowing them to come into the house. Hope you agree with my colour choice. I love them – thank you Sam
